The City of Montrose is looking for a member to serve on the Election Commission
This individual must be at least 18 years of age and a registered voter within the State of MI. The election commission meets once prior to each election and is responsible for appointing the slate of election inspectors working each election. Each meeting lasts approximately ½ hour and the pay is $15 per meeting.

Notary services will be provided pursuant to the laws of the State of Michigan.
Notaries acting on the behalf of the City of Montrose:
Costs are $5.00 for resident and $7.00 for non-resident per document.
Will only notarize documents written in English, or with the English translation attached. Notarize completed documents, which shall not contain blanks.
Not notarize copies of passports, I-9 forms, closing documents, trusts or wills. Confirm the identity of all individuals requesting notary service against a government issued photo identification card.
Act as a witness to and notarize the same document. Not certify or notarize that a record is an original or a true copy of another record.
We reserve the right to refuse to notarize any document.
TO ANY OWNERS OF LANDS SITUATED IN THE CITY OF MONTROSE,
GENESEE COUNTY AND STATE OF MICHIGAN
The occupant of every lot or premises adjoining any street or the owner of the lot or premises, if the premises are not occupied, shall clear all snow and make a reasonable effort to remove all ice from sidewalks adjoining the lot or premises within the time herein required. Snow falling or accumulating shall be cleared from the sidewalks within 48 hours of the cessation of the snow event.
If any occupant or owner shall neglect or fail to clear ice or snow from the sidewalk adjoining his or her premises within the time limit or shall otherwise permit ice or snow to accumulate on the sidewalk, the City shall cause the same to be cleared, and the expense of removal shall be collectible as provided by the City schedule of fees and costs to be assessed.
No person shall pile, dump or place snow, ice or any other material on any sidewalk or public street in the City. Snow or ice shall not be plowed or moved across a public street or otherwise disposed of in any other place or in a manner so as to create a safety hazard to the people of the City.
